Residential cleaning can be done with very few basic cleaning items. For residential cleaning, you don’t have to buy anything until you get your first client.

The most expensive item on your list should be a high-quality vacuum cleaner. But you don’t have to go for a flagship product. 

Other basic essential items include rags, a mop, toilet brush, buckets, brooms, dusters, dustpan, cleaning cloths, brush, and paper towels.

There are also a number of cleaning products you need while starting a cleaning business including an all-purpose spray, window cleaner, and furniture polish. Pick some commercial grade, environment-friendly cleaning supplies. Avoid going to a supermarket and buy the regular stuff. 

Avoid going for low-quality stuff by getting tempted with their prices because you will be in a cleaning business and you do not want to end up spending more than earning from a job. Low-quality products can even damage client’s house if not done properly.
